If you experience dark and flat colors when you print to your Canon Selphy from Adobe Lightroom, don’t worry. There is a easy solution to fix this problem.
You need an ICC printer profile. And you need to activate it in Lightroom.
Tested on a Canon Selphy ES-30 (but should give same result on older models)
Here is what you need to do:
You should have a photo printed by your Canon Selphy that has the right colors and the right contrast.
Hope this helped.
And if you want to read more about ICC profiles then follow this link International Color Consortium.
UPDATE:
I have found an ICC profile for the Selphy CP720. I do not have that model but maybe you do and is this file helpfull. Use the file following the method described above.
Download the profile Selphy-CP720-OK.icc.

I have not tried the canon-selphy.icc, but at least the selphy-cp720 profile doesn’t do much when used with PS. There’s no way to disable ICM in the printer dialog which could be part of the problem.
So far the best solution for me is to convert my photos to sRGB, then do touchups in PS, open the photo in Canon’s/ULead’s enclosed photo software and print it from there. It’s still not an accurate match but a lot closer than what I get from PS.
I have CP760, when print of lightroom with cp720 profile result is better then from photolab

Good to hear that it works for you, enjoy
Thanks for your trick and work.
I had exactly the same problem and you saved me!
I didn’t know how to get a good printing from Lightroom to my Selphy ES30;
It’s now working like a charm.
Thanks again !
Thanks a lot, i have a CP780 and the result with the cp720 profile is excelent
Fantastic, thanks for this, photos look great, detail is now shown in the shade and the colours are much truer. I’ll link to you site from mine if that’s ok.
Thank you so much for this. I was frustrated with the colors from my Selphy CP770 and worked on it for many hours (and prints). Using the 720 profile and having PS manage colors, plus using “perceptual” in the drop down list helped tremendously.
Works like a charm. Thanks for providing the profile !
